What is a Christian

Christianity isn’t about being a moral or religious person. It’s about trusting in Jesus, God’s son.

A Christian can say:

  • They have not lived or loved God as they should and deserve His punishment.
  • That Jesus, was not only a man but also God, who died in our place and rose again to rescue us from that punishment and lives now as Lord of all.
  • They seek to live their life in response to the love and grace shown in Jesus as God desires.

To become a Christian you simply ask God to forgive you. This act of genuinely turning back to God is all that is needed.

It helps if you know someone who already has a relationship with God, who can encourage you to trust in His love for you because they have experienced it themselves.

If you don’t know anyone personally who is a Christian, we would love to talk with you. Many at St Jude’s, including Stephen Fifer and Jon Clare, have given their whole lives over to Him. They would be happy to hear from you and to talk about who God is.
