Midweek Lunchtime Recital at St Jude’s
Mark Williamson – Classical Guitar

Mark Williamson is President of the Classical Music Club and is well-known in the Southern Highlands as a Classical Guitarist. His program at the Wednesday Lunchtime Recital in St Jude’s Church Bowral on Wednesday 24 February will feature the music of the Spanish Guitarist and composer Gaspar Sanz. Mark will perform four works: Prelude, Allemandes, Pavanas and Canarios.

 

Gaspar Sanz’s compositions provide some of the most important of examples of Spanish baroque music for the guitar and are an important part of the classical guitar repertoire. The next series of Midweek Lunchtime Recitals in St Jude’s Church commences on Wednesday 7 April when again Mark Williamson will be the recitalist and joined by fellow Guitarist Kjell Goyer.
