Organ Recitals for Autumn
St Jude’s Church, Bowral

A series of three Organ Recitals will be presented in St Jude’s during Autumn. The first will be on Sunday 11 April at 2.30pm and will be presented by the resident Organist at St Jude’s, Allan Beavis, and the Organist at St Thomas Aquinas Church, Geoff Harvey. Allan Beavis will perform works of the French Romantic composers Cesar Franck and Alexandre Guilmant including Franck’s “Chorale No 3” and “Pièce Heroique”.

 

Geoff Harvey will continue the French theme with his composition “The Impressionists” – a set of four pieces titled “Cézanne”, “Renoir”, “Monet” and “Corbé”. In addition he will perform his “Fanfare for Roger Bannister” and works by Bottazo, Bach and German.

 

The second Organ Recital will be presented by Brett McKern on 25 April and the third by Cliff Bingham on 2 May.

Admission is by donation.
